how come there are on updates on Hacking Exposed or Hackers Handbook series anymore?

So like I find that those books are potentially very useful and very cool and could be great for learning. And yet, the authors aren't updating them. Is there a reason for this? Why not start updating them again? It's been several years.Just my two cents. I know that the authors of the WAHH made PortSwigger instead of making another handbook.
